How Oval Digbeth transformed Birmingham’s former industrial heartland into the vibrant beating heart of the UK’s second city.

The Client

In 2017, Oval Real Estate (aka Oval Digbeth) began work on their latest regeneration project in Birmingham’s creative quarter.

Specialising in the rebirth of often overlooked and generally neglected spaces, the Oval Digbeth team had the knowledge and expertise to turn their ambitious vision into a reality - a thriving community filled with endless possibilities and a bustling neighbourhood of like-minded individuals united by a sense of belonging.

The Brief

Oval Digbeth tasked us with providing long-term creative support in order to successfully apply and deliver their distinct brand identity across a vast range of media as they fearlessly pursued the regeneration of an entire suburb located deep within the heart of the UK’s second city, Birmingham!

Our Solution

Designed and curated to deliver a distinct sense of belonging, our solutions not only helped the Oval Digbeth team to define the spaces across the entirety of their estate, but they also helped in the delivery of the ‘Digbeth’ brand experience both off and online.

We did this by optimising the functionality of the Digbeth brand identity in both spaces and on screens of all shapes and sizes. This resulted in the production of an extensive collection of assets over a 3-year period that ranged from branded signage, functional wayfinding, printed publications, branded merchandise, digital marketing assets and the development of the Digbeth Weddings website - just to mention a few.
